The End Of The Great Depression
The Great Depression stretched from 1929 to 1939, most people would say that those ten years were the hardest ten years in world history. The depression was a terrible time for people all across the globe. The main cause for the end of the great depression was Hitler invaded Poland and that was the beginning of world war two.World war two wasn't a good thing, but it had great timing because the start of the war meant that there would be tons of jobs opening because of the demands on weapons and artillery.Women were even hired during world war two because men were soldiers and they needed workers in factories and such. There were even kids that were being used to work on machines because their hands were so small.By 1945 America was back again, the unemployment rate was now at about 2.5%,that is great. Now the unemployment rate in the United States is about 6%that means 6 out of every 100 people are unemployed, that is not that bad.
Another main reason the Great Depression started to end was because of The new deal programs made by President Franklin Roosevelt. The new deal was a series of programs that were created to help the United States economy. The programs were used for things such as labor, bank, and relief reforms. The programs were rolled out from 1933 to 1938,by the start of world war two there was no need for these programs because just about every woman had a job and about every man was a soldier. Some people view Franklin Roosevelt as a hero because of the New Deal programs.Roosevelt was trying to help America get back on its feet,The New Deal was one of the reasons the Great Depression ended,by the start of 1940 America was back on its feet again and the Great Depression was on it's way out the door. The Great Depression had a huge impact on the world and it was one of the roughest times in history, the 10 year span was full of hungry nights and cold nights and the death of family or friends,it was just terrible.
